What Makes Fred Special?
Fred isn’t just a sourdough loaf—he’s a labor of love! Born from our 100% natural, in-house starter (affectionately named "Fred"), each loaf is slowly fermented for 24+ hours, blending unbleached bread flour (for strength), stone-ground wholewheat (for nutty depth), and ancient spelt flour (for earthy sweetness). The result? A crust that crackles like autumn leaves, a custard-soft crumb shot with honeycomb holes, and a complex flavor that dances between tangy, buttery, and subtly sweet.

 

Each loaf can get you about 8-10 slices, a good size to feed a family of 4 or to share it during parties and picnics.

  • Ingredients: Unbleached Bread Flour, Wholewheat Flour, Spelt Flour, Fred (starter), Sea Salt, Water 

     

    Storage Instructions: Slice the loaf, about 1.5cm in thickness and store them in a ziplock bag/cling wrap/tupperware. Keep in the freezer for up to 1 month.To consume, heat up the oven at 180 degree celsius, and toast the bread slices for 3- 5 mins.
